Stress in 2 & 3 Syllable Words

Letters in a word may have a different sound depending on the stress. 'О' under stress has a sound of 'О'. However unstressed 'О' is pronounced as 'А'. For example ОКНО' (window) is pronounced /АКНО/ because the stress falls on the second syllable.

Listen to the audio recording and read the words out loud observing the correct tone. Repeat 5 times or until memorised.
